Prof. Kandikere Ramaiah Sridhar, Editor-in-Chief of MycoIndia Journal, is an Adjunct
Professor at Mangalore University, bringing over 45 years of distinguished academic
experience. A renowned authority in mycology, Prof. Sridhar has mentored 5 MPhil and 25
PhD scholars, making substantial contributions to the field of fungal biology. His pioneering
research focuses on freshwater fungi, particularly in the biodiversity-rich Western Ghats and
the coastal ecosystems of western India. Over the years, he has authored and edited 19 books
and published more than 500 scientific papers, reflecting the depth and breadth of his
scholarship. Prof. Sridhar has held visiting positions in Canada, Germany, Portugal, and
Thailand, and is widely recognized as one of the leading mycologists. He is currently serving
as a visiting professor in Bangkok, continuing to advance research and international
collaboration in fungal science.
